Add Grandma or Grandpa to a Photo
Some grandchildren never got a photo with their grandma or grandpa. Upload a photo of the children, or of a parent holding a new baby, and a photo of the grandparent, and you get one picture of them together, in the same light and color.

The new photo, together
How it works
Two photos in, one photo out. Nothing to install and nothing to learn.
First
Choose a photo of the grandchildren, or of a parent holding the baby, with some room beside them.
Then
Add a clear photo of the grandparent. Old prints and black and white photos work.
Last
Press the button and download the new photo for a frame, a baby book or a gift for the family.

Newborn and baby photos
- Use a photo where a parent is holding the baby, rather than a close-up of the baby alone. That leaves room for a grandparent beside them.
- Soft window light and outdoor photos blend best. Studio newborn photos with dark backdrops are harder to match.
- The baby and everyone else in the photo are kept exactly as they are.
- The grandparent is placed beside the family. Holding the baby in their own arms is not something the tool does reliably.
Gift ideas
- A framed print for the parent who lost their mom or dad, on the baby’s first birthday or Mother’s or Father’s Day.
- A page in the baby book or a family photo book.
- A holiday card photo with everyone in it.
- A print for the grandparent who is still with us, with their partner beside them again.
Questions
How do I add my late grandmother or grandfather to a photo with my kids?
Upload the photo of your children as photo 1 and a clear photo of their grandparent as photo 2, then press the button. They are placed with the children, in matching light and color.
Can I add a grandparent to a newborn photo?
Yes. A photo of a parent holding the baby works best, so the grandparent can stand or sit beside them. The baby is not changed.
Can I add both grandparents?
One person is added each time. Make the photo with one grandparent, download it, then upload that new photo with a photo of the other grandparent. Each step uses one credit.
How much does it cost?
Your first photo is free when you create an account and confirm your email. After that, photos come in one-time packs: 5 photos for $4.99, 15 for $9.99 or 40 for $19.99. One credit is one photo. There is no subscription, and you can also buy a pack without creating an account.
What if the photo does not come out right?
If a photo fails or times out, its credit goes back to your balance automatically. If the photo is made but the AI changed your loved one’s face and they do not look like themselves, email hello@adddeceasedlovedonetophoto.org from the address on your account (or with your order receipt) and we will give you one free redo of that photo. A sharper, larger photo of their face usually gives a much closer likeness.
What happens to the photos I upload?
The two photos you upload are only used to make your picture and are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload. The finished photo is kept privately in your account so you can download it again, until you delete it with your account (Settings → Security → Delete account, which removes your photos right away) or ask us at hello@adddeceasedlovedonetophoto.org. Photos are never shown to other visitors, sold or used to train AI.
